HERE'S A PREVIEW

AUDIO: Instructors are not wearing mics and the mic seems to be on camera. Even though the room is small the first impression is a bit hissy. The instruction is still easy to hear and understand as you can tell from the preview.

VIDEO: The video and lighting are good. The background is uncluttered and the choice of costume provides high contrast, making discerning the patterns and movement easy. The aspect ratio is 4:3

NAVIGATION: The navigation allows you to select one of the eight sections taught but there is no option to jump to the count through or the demo etc.

INSTRUCTION: The instruction is conducted by both Charles and Michelle. Both of these instructors teach clearly and slowly. They take the time to show you the moves from behind, so that you can orient your own footwork as you learn. It is great to see couples having the lady teach the ladies and the man teach the men. Very easy to learn from this teaching. Each move is taught through with a count, to music and without a count to help the student start to count in their own mind. There are 8 sections containing 1 move or pattern each. They total over 45 minutes of instruction. Don't be fooled into thinking the number of moves in a DVD is all that counts. this is a beginner DVD and is suitable for people who have never dance Rock 'n' Roll before. Master these eight moves and you are well and truly dancing.

SUMMARY: This is a great way to start out with Rock 'n' Roll. Build your confidence before you go public, or consolidate and deepen what you have been learning in class. You're sure to gain lots of satisfaction if you follow this DVD thoroughly.
